How AI Can Benefit Many Industries

We are living in a fast, competitive digital era, full of technology that has improved our lives by making things easier and better for us. Robots carry out most of the strenuous work for us by means of artificial intelligence.

When one defines AI, it can be said to be a set of algorithms that give the ability to achieve computer-controlled robots with the intention of performing tasks that require human intelligence. One can regard it as a scientific field that explores the methodologies that make computers capable to practice intelligent behavioural patterns by use of several computer software.

What is AI?

It dates back to the 1940s stretching to the early 50s, a period where philosophers tried to explain human thinking as a symbolic system. Egyptians, Chinese and the ancient Greek engineers, to name a few, played a crucial role in achieving motion like structures that led to the discovery of automatons.

Through such discoveries, it led to a revolution where scientists sought to create an artificial brain.  Henceforth, the term AI was first introduced in 1956, by a man considered to be the godfather of artificial intelligence, well known as John McCarthy.

How it works

Artificial intelligence assembles gathered data through intelligent algorithms, processes it in such a way as to learn the similarities within the patterns available. As such, variations and similarities can be determined automatically through machine learning. By employing machine learning, one makes room for graphical statistical representations, neural networks and data analyses to be determined, therefore giving operational research thoroughly.

Henceforth, when patterns are determined, computer vision is employed to enable further analysis, interpretation of object images and videos within a given surrounding. After the computer interpretation, it will convert binary language into human language to allow efficient communication by use of Natural language processing.

Main types of AI

There three main types of artificial intelligence which include ANI, AGI and ASI.

ANI

ANI stands for Artificial Narrow Intelligence. This AI can be referred to as the weak or narrow AI since it only gives the ability of a single operation for a single intended task. Some good examples where this intelligence is used include Alexa, Google Assistant and Face ID, you can use a smarthome coupon code on your online orders.

AGI

AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence. It tries to impersonate a human mind identically; however, it’s still in a hypothetical phase.

ASI

ASI stands for Artificial Super Intelligence. Hypothetically, it’s meant to surpass human intelligence in all ways around but yet to be explored.

Where AI is used

AI in the automotive industry

Artificial intelligence has brought the ability for self-driven cars to be readily available. This has been made possible by the software that is linked to real time cameras, not to mention the thousands of test miles and sensors at our disposal. This then promotes road safety while reducing pollution to the environment as well.

AI in virtual ssistance

We now have Google assistance, Siri and Cortana at our disposal for any digital support free of charge.

It has played a vital role in suggesting the diagnosis of certain illnesses promptly while also keeping tabs of patients’ health conditions.

How AI will benefit industries

In manufacturing sectors, Artificial intelligence makes data-based decisions; hence, this promotes efficiency while decreasing costs of production. This then improves the scalability and the development of the product, that why refermate a coupon website also provide a top list of AL software company that offers promotion online on their products.

The retail industry has been slow in embracing AI technology, but once it does, it is going to revolutionize the industry. This means that it is going to affect the manufacturing and supply chain logistics positively.
