Are You Being Bombarded with Unsolicited Business Calls?

Most people who are in business know how frustrating it can be to have to deal with unsolicited video calls from other companies trying to sell them products or services. However, there are some businesses that receive a huge number of cold calls from other businesses and this can become very frustrating, time-consuming, and annoying. While fending off the odd call now and again isn’t usually a problem, when you are receiving call after call, it does become a major issue.

When you receive huge numbers of unsolicited calls, it blocks off your phone lines and this means that your colleagues, employees, and customers are unable to get through as easily. This can have a major impact on your business, which is why most people are eager to get these cold callers off the phone as quickly as possible. Sadly, they simply call back again and again and again, which makes the situation all the more frustrating.

What can you do?

There are various steps you can take if you are receiving lots of unsolicited calls that are affecting your business. If you receive these calls, you have every right to ask the caller to remove your details from the database and advise them that you did not agree to receive the call and do not want them to call you back in the future. They should then remove your details so you do not receive any more of their calls. However, this does not always happen which is why you should lookup their phone number so you know if they call again in the future.

If you find that the company that has been calling does not refrain from doing so after you have asked them to remove your details from the database, you can actually make a complaint. The Federal Communications Commission is now clamping down on callers such as these that cause a nuisance to both business and private residents, which means you can take action if you find yourself being bombarded by these calls.

If the company continues to call you, what you need to do is make a note of all the times they call including the date, the actual time of the call, and when you advised them to stop calling you. In fact, any details you can log down can prove helpful in terms of your complaint so make the notes as detailed as possible. When contacting the FCC, you can then include all of these details along with the details of the company. This will make it much easier for your complaint to be dealt with. With any luck, the action that is taken by the FCC will mean that the company finally does stop bombarding you with unsolicited calls and you can then get on with running your business.

While most businesses will always have an issue with these types of calls, taking the appropriate action and making a complaint can prove very helpful.
