The larger the cache, the more data can be stored and accessed quickly. For example, a computer with a small cache size will need to spend more time retrieving data from ram or the hard disk. Like they test games and share the performance statistics such as FPS, temperature and so much more. If you have a game in your mind which you may be playing after purchasing the CPU, search the name of the game and mention the processor. It will immediately show you the benchmarks and other information which will help you to choose the right processor.
Budget
At the very first of choosing a good CPU for gaming, you will need to check on your budget. You may have three options: low budget, medium budget, and high budget for your computer. For a gaming PC under $1000, I recommend around 15-25% of your total budget to go into getting the right processor. But if it’s more than that, then bump this number up accordingly.
