Despite low sales in all market segments this summer, new agricultural equipment was presented by several manufacturers. Let’s have a look at the latest innovations for farmers – brand-new combines, tractors, tillage equipment, and so on.
Tractors
Fendt
Fendt launched a new series of tractors — 600 Vario. These are four new models: 614, 616, 618, and 620 Vario.
They run on the brand new AGCO Power Core50 4-cylinder, 5-liter engine. Its all-wheel drive CVT regulates power for each wheel, which helps with grip and keeps the soil from getting messed up. Plus, it’s super efficient because it can hit a max torque of 950 Nm at low engine speeds, between 1,200 and 1,600 rpm.
The manufacturer claims that the new Fendt tractors are multifunctional and can be used for various purposes, e.g. row crop farming, loader applications, or transportation.
Massey Ferguson
This company launched the new MF 9S Series tractor. Six models are ranging from 285 to 425 hp.
These new tractors are equipped with a 6-cylinder, 8.4 liter AGCO Power engine, and can achieve a top speed of 30 mph and maximum power at 1,850 rpm.
Derek Reusser, tactical marketing manager for Massey Ferguson, says that the MF 9S Series tractors are designed to tackle the challenge of shorter planting windows. This time is getting shorter — now there are less than 12 days of good planting weather on average over the last five years. Plus, these new tractors can save up to 15% on fuel based on their tests.
Harvesting
Gleaner
AGCO Corporation has presented the Gleaner T Series combine, which will be offered in Class 6, 7, or 8 configurations.
The company highlighted the innovative Dura Drive system, featuring a two-speed, shift-on-the-fly transmission that expands the speed range up to 25 mph while reducing the number of gears.
In addition to boosting productivity, the Deluxe cab option enhances visibility through various technological advancements.
Case IH
Case IH has introduced two new combines, completing the AF series that debuted in early 2024 with the AF11 model. The single-rotor AF9 and AF10 combine harvesters showcase a redesign of the Class 9 and Class 10 machines.
With increased horsepower — 634 hp for the AF9 and 775 hp for the AF10 — these models enable faster harvesting speeds. The grain handling capacity is optimized from the header to the spreader, enhancing overall harvest efficiency.
Additionally, Case IH has announced a new series of corn heads designed to complement the new harvesters as well as late-model Axial-Flow combines.
Tillage
Case IH
Case IH also introduced new precision technology tillage equipment.
The Soil Command system will be factory-installed on select sizes of the Case IH Speed-Tiller 475 and VT-Flex 435, and it is compatible with any ISO-enabled tractor that can meet hydraulic requirements.
The introduction of Case IH Active Implement Guidance provides farmers with a plug-and-play solution to correct implement drift during planting, tillage, and side-dressing operations.
John Deere
In August, John Deere announced its first coulter chisel (CC) tillage implement. In addition, the company has unveiled updates to its Minimum Tillage Series In-Line ripper offerings.
Michael Porter, the go-to-market manager for tillage equipment at John Deere, says that the new CC Series has been designed to help farmers address primary tillage needs more quickly than ever. This tool is highly efficient for primary tillage with working speeds of 7 mph.
Both tillage series are integrated with John Deere’s precision agriculture technology.
