General overview: US stocks edged higher, while major European indexes fell.

US:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened at 18,251.97 and gained 20.32 points (a 0.11% increase) closing at 18,272.56.

The S&P 500 Index opened at 2,122.07, gained 1.63 points (a 0.08% increase) closing at 2,122.73.

The NASDAQ Composite Index opened at 5,059.15, fell 2.50 points (a 0.05% decline) closing at 5,048.29.

EUROPE:

The UK FTSE 100 Index opened at 6,973.04, fell 12.55 points (a 0.18% decline), closing at 6,960.49.

The Deutsche Boerse AG German Stock Index DAX opened at 11,593.20, dropped 112.79 points (a 0.98% fall), closing at 11,447.03.

The French CAC 40 opened at 5,049.56, dropped 35.49 points (a 0.71% decline), closing at 4,993.82.

OIL MARKET:

Jun 15 WTI Crude Oil gained 0.08 (+0.13%) to 59.96 as of 17:14:59 ET.

Jul 15 Brent gained 0.21 (+0.31%) to 66.91 as of 17:14:59 ET.
