The Balkan Nostradamus, Baba Vanga, made two predictions for 2018. The Bulgarian psychic, who died in 1996 at the age of 85, made some surprisingly accurate predictions. According to many people, she predicted the 9/11 terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda on the United States in 2001 in which 2,996 people died. She also predicted that Britons would vote to leave the EU, i.e., Brexit, and the Boxing Day tsunami.
Before the Balkan Nostradamus died, she also warned that ISIS would rise and become a serious threat. ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) or Daesh gained global prominence when it drove Iraqi forces out of key cities. According to the United Nations, ISIS is a terrorist organization.
Baba Vanga, who many refer to as the Balkan Nostradamus, made many predictions. In fact, her predictions went all the way up to the fifty-first century, when she believed the world would end.
Balkan Nostradamus – two 2018 predictions
Baba Vanga made two predictions for 2018. First, she predicted that China would surge forward and become the world’s leading superpower. Second, she prophesied that we would discover a new form of energy on planet Venus.
Conspiracy theorists and alien enthusiasts across the world are keenly discussing Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2018.
Although they are nothing more than predictions, given her track record for accuracy, perhaps we should take them seriously.
China’s ascension
It would be difficult to imagine a world superpower greater than the United States. However, according to the Balkan Nostradamus, China will most likely be the next global leader.
Half a century ago, China’s represented just 4.1% of the global economy. Today, it represents 15.6%, according to Yahoo News.
Since the 1990s, China has undergone what many would describe as an economic miracle. In virtually every year since the turn of the century, GDP growth has been greater than any other country. GDP stands for Gross Domestic Product.
New energy source from Venus
Unlike the China prediction, the Venus one seems highly unlikely. There are no plans anywhere in the world to send a space mission to Venus.
The Parker Solar Probe, however, will lift off from Earth in July 2018 and will investigate the Sun’s outer corona. The corona is an aura of plasma that surrounds stars, including our star, the Sun.
The Sun’s corona is huge. In fact, it extends many millions of miles into space. We can see the Sun’s corona during a total solar eclipse. We can also detect it using a coronagraph.
The Parker Solar Probe, named after Eugene Parker, a solar astrophysicist, will use Venus’ gravitational pull to slingshot itself around the Sun.
Scientists will use the probe to determine the structure of the solar winds’ magnetic fields. They also aim to trace the flow of energy that heats the plasma.
Might scientists discover a new energy source during the Parker Solar Probe mission?
Balkan Nostradamus predicted BREXIT
The Balkan Nostradamus predicted Brexit. She also said that the Europe we know today would soon cease to exist. BREXIT stands for BRitain EXITing the European Union.
In 2016, the British electorate voted by 52% to 48% to leave the European Union.
