Some luxury resorts pay for Covid tests for their clients. The Dubai government has enough money to bear all the restrictions and rules and still give you a first-class holiday. Egypt was always an excellent destination for cultural discovery and relaxation in the sun. Additionally, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is scheduled to be opened in 2021. After years of building, all the artefacts can be transferred to one place. What is more, the building is near the Pyramids of Giza. If you don’t like lazy holidays, Egypt may be an excellent choice. There are monuments, pyramids and tombs to wander into for hours. To make things even more tempting, Cairo is a lively city, and there are many things to discover.

Maybe there will be no time or money for long holidays. If so, it’s always a possibility of a weekend trip. One of the great destinations for a city tour is Cracow in Poland. Spared from the destruction of the Second World War, Poland’s second-largest city has a medieval town centre that is one of the largest in Europe. It is known for its cathedrals, cafe culture and university life. Not far from the city, there is the Wieliczka salt mine, a 13th-century underground labyrinth of rooms, chapels and statues made of salt. Additionally, there are companies ready to take you from Cracow to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, one of the most significant, but also the saddest monuments of European history.

Paris has been on top for a weekend destination in Europe for some time, and it does not seem to be changing any time soon. Everyone will find something that suits them. The best boutiques, fresh scent of croissants in the morning, drinking coffee in front of an elegant, little cafe somewhere in the picturesque city centre or the Louvre Museum. Culture, cuisine, fashion and music all in one place right under the Eiffel Tower. Also, as probably everyone already knows, Paris is a capital of love, so take your partner and treat yourselves by visiting this magnificent place. For those who still wait for meeting their significant others, why don’t you try your luck in Paris?
Winter madness in summertime…
Winter was a time of new lockdowns due to the virus mutation threat, and we lost our opportunity to enjoy the winter weather charms. However, we can still go skiing and have fun in the snow during our summer holidays. Where? In the Alps. There are a few glaciers that make it possible. Skiing in the morning and in the afternoon wandering through mountains or enjoying outstanding cuisine sounds like a paradise. Places like that can be found in France, Austria and Switzerland. You won’t be bored, because there are always many events during summertime. Mountains give us a choice between silence and peace somewhere deep in a forest or tons of fun in mountain resorts waiting to welcome you as their guest.
Into the unknown…
For more than a century, Thailand has been luring tourists with its temples, unique food, stunning beaches and breathtaking landscapes. It didn’t change, but they added more. Luxury hotels were built; there are more bars and small, boutique hotels in Bangkok. They plan to open a beach with coral reefs that were closed for three years. In Thailand, the civilisation is merging with a wildness of nature in a truly magnificent way. Temples are hidden deep inside forests and inhabited by many animals. Unfortunately, the pandemic is killing Thai tourism, and we can pray for quickly overcoming the virus to revisit this wonderful country without all the restrictions, for example, a mandatory 14-days quarantine even when you are tested negative for Covid-19.

Don’t worry about your holiday plans. There are plenty of possibilities, and when the time comes, you may have problems to choose where to go in the end. No matter what you seek during your furlough, the world is waiting for the travel industry to get up from its knees and will be happy to give you precisely what you will be looking for. All depends on how much time you have for your trip and what is your budget. If you have a significant amount of both, you can choose from more distant places like Dubai or Egypt, but if you want a quick break from work, choose Cracow city tour or weekend skiing in the Alps.
