Facebook is rolling out its live stream service to all verified Pages.

The social networking giant launched ‘Live’, its Periscope-type live video streaming service, in August.

Live Video was previously exclusive to celebrities and public figures. The company just started testing the service with a small percentage of the US general public. But per this recent announcement all verified Pages can use the tool as well.

To start a stream Page owners only need to tap the “Publish” button and select the option that says “Live Video” – there is the option to include a description of the live video as well.

Facebook said in an official blog post announcing the news: “Today, we’re beginning to roll out the ability for verified Pages to share live video using Facebook for iOS.

With Live, sports teams, media companies, brands, and other verified Pages can make announcements, share breaking news updates, take fans behind the scenes, host Q&As, and more.”

The company added:

“People who like your Page can discover your live videos in News Feed and through notifications on Facebook. While watching a live video, people can tap the Subscribe button to get notified the next time your Page goes live.

“Over the past few months, we’ve been testing Live with a handful of verified Pages. We’ve been excited to see all the ways Live has been used so far, and can’t wait to see what’s to come.”
